A House is Built! (Part 2 of 2)

Proverbs 24: 4 By knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

Here, knowledge is the application of Godly wisdom applied over a long period of time.  God grows us into the likeness of His Son Jesus Christ and as we become more like Him, our house becomes established as mentioned in the previous verse.  But it all depends upon us.  God is already in place for us.  As husbands and fathers we must make the commitment to follow God in a precise manner so that we obtain His blessings in the manner in which He wants us to have them.  His ways are always best.  We can’t just carve out a little time here and a little time there and expect results.  Our hearts should be consumed with His greatness and Holiness so that His thoughts are our thoughts.  There is an old saying that goes like this: “Ted is so heavenly minded that he is earthly worthless.”  I’m not talking about that here.  His thoughts need to become our thoughts so we can have His focus for ourselves and for our families.  We are not mere puppets.  We are His children and the sheep of His pasture.  He wants to guide us if we will let Him.  The benefits are beyond compare.  There is a man by the name of Ted Wilkins who can tell you all about the transforming powers of our Holy God.  If it weren’t for the grace of God I surely wouldn’t be sitting here late at night writing these devotionals.  By the way, they are for me too.

Men, it’s time to rally and get behind the Savior.  He will guide you along life’s path.  He can guide your family too, but according to God’s Word, you are the Godhead of the family, and they need you to be in place to lead them in His ways.  The best way to begin is with prayer, asking God for direction and seeking His will.  Read and study God’s Word.  Sounds dull doesn’t it.  Well that is what Satan wants you to believe so you’ll get bored and quit before you allow God to show you the victory.  Watch for the frustration too.  Satan wants you to fail your family and that is when you need to rise up in Christ and make the stand.  God is waiting, and so is your family.  Show them you are a Godly man by example.  Believe me, in time they will follow you as you seek Him.  Perseverance is the key.  You’re in this for the “long haul”….. Eternity!

PrayerDear Father, Give me Holy strength and courage as I seek Your will for my life and as I look for guidance through your Holy Word.  In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN!

May God richly bless us as we continue seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

Have a GREAT Day!!!

In Christ,
