Godly Discipline

Good Day Men!

1 Corinthians 9: 27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified. (NKJV)

Be careful that you don’t become disqualified in your own personal testimony.  Make sure you are living according to the scriptures from which you give testimony about.  The body Paul is writing about here is the body as a whole.  Our hearts should be right with God.  Our minds be tuned to His fulfillment that our testimony should be true and not distracting.  Our body (physique) should be representing the temple of the Holy Spirit.  Let’s face it guys.  Some of our temples are larger than others.  It’s time to reel that in and get into shape.

We need to be reminded that our life as a whole should represent Christ as a true work in progress, moving toward Him on a daily basis.  Again, the result is abundant life when we follow Christ according to the principles and truths set forth in His Word, the Bible.

PrayerDear Lord Jesus.  Help me to be fully and totally committed to growing into Your image, realizing that only following You totally will bring me life and that life in great abundance.   In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

Have a GREAT Day!!!

In Christ,
