Is Reconstruction Needed in Your Life?

Nehemiah 1: 6  Please let your ear be attentive and Your  eyes open that you hear the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You now, day and night, for the children of Israel Your servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against You.  Both my father’s house and I have sinned.  (NKJV)

As we look back in time over the year, have you truly served God in all you say and do?  Have you honored Him with the first fruits of your labor?  Have you treated your wife and children with Godly respect that God intended for you to show them by example?  Have you prayed daily and more so over their welfare, emotional, physical and spiritual?  Have you lifted them up daily in prayer as a family?  I think I hear some of you crying UNCLE already!!!!!  I give up.  OK Ted who let you in my home?

Welcome to the world of reality.  Let’s face it.  Failure happens, but it’s not failure if we learn from it.  You didn’t see me ask about your prayer life and your times alone with God, did you?  It’s time to revaluate your life and where you stand in Christ.  The greatest question I can ask you is: have you represented our loving Savior to others you see on a daily basis (even your family)?  If you have let the other things I have mentioned slide, then you know the answer to that question, don’t you?

I challenge you to read the full prayer of Nehemiah found in Chapter 1: 5-11.  This prayer began the rebuilding of Jerusalem, which took fifty-two days, and dedicated men and families who wanted to return to God completed it.  Even during the rebuilding there were trials before them.  Look at Chapter 6: 9.  Nehemiah answered with prayer.

As we begin a new day don’t make promises.  They are too easily broken.  Instead, make life changes that will stick and you will see the results beginning with your immediate family and then into your workplace.

PrayerDear Father in Heaven, Give me Your strength for the task as I face another day.  Show YOUR will for my life that I may better represent you to my family, friends and loved ones.  In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN!

May God richly bless us as we continue seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

Have a GREAT Day!!!

In Christ,
