Prepare The Next Generation

Good Day Men!

Psalms 48: 13-14   You may tell the next generation that this is God, our God for ever and ever.  He will be our guide for ever.  (RSV)

What are our Godly experiences worth here on earth?  If you have children you understand quickly that you are forming their belief in God that will carry them through each and every challenge they encounter now and in the future.  Our experiences here that take us through the good times as well as the bad times can help our children face their problems of tomorrow as they grow from childhood through adolescence and into mature adults.  They need to see our trials and tribulations and realize that we struggle as parents too.  We struggle with where to send our kids to school.  Are we going to a church that the Sunday School teachers are reaching our children affectively for Christ?  Are we lighting their paths so that God can shine through us and the relationship that we have with the Father can be seen in the correct light?  It takes effort and timing.  We will impact our children’s lives as long as we live here on earth.  We need to tell the next generation that this is God, our God for ever and ever.  Actions will speak volumes when you are trying to get a point across to your children, whether they are youngsters or mature adults.  They WILL see you, and your response to life’s issues will be ever evident in your daily walk with Christ.

Our job is never done until we see Christ.   He will be our guide for ever.  We are forming the lives of tomorrow.  Yes, we will make mistakes, and we will fall.  So will our children.  Let God use you to light the way to Him today that your children can clearly see the path to Him.

God DOES light our way.

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will and His way, through His Word…..AMEN!

  Promise Keepers 1993-2024-2 The attendance of that conference in Indianapolis Indiana at the Hosier Dome was a little over 70,000. Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
