They Shall Walk…..(Part 5 of 5)

Isaiah 40: 31 But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.  (NKJV)

When we are in tune with Christ and we see His involvement in what we are doing, we know that we are aligned with Christ’s purpose for our lives.  Our walk will be in Him and in Him we faint not.  Our daily walk is like that.  As long as we are at the center of God’s will we are full of spiritual energy and we are experiencing the abundant life.  God guides us and we seek His will and direction.  Easier said than done as you, I’m sure have experienced at one time or another.  Even when we are close to God we are tempted to sin.  Let’s face it guys, as long as we are here on this earth we will be tempted.  But it is up to us to fall or not.

Let’s look at this verse a little differently and break the phrases down for a little clearer focus. But those who wait on the Lord shall……. walk and not faint.  It’s quite clear that we should ALWAYS wait on the Lord.  Anything else is just busy work that we think is necessary so that we move closer to God while we are waiting for God to move.  So what’s wrong with just waiting?  Nothing, as long as you incorporate it with watching.  If we watch we won’t miss Him when He calls upon us to get involved.  If we busy ourselves with something we think may be moving us toward God’s direction for us without watching for His call then we will faint or get weaker in our busy work and be to spiritually exhausted in what we were doing and have nothing left when God is actually ready to use us.  It goes back to the first part of the verse…..WAIT!  God knows what lies ahead and He will prepare us as long as we seek Him first.  We can begin with His Word.  There you will find the best instructions on how to prepare for watching and waiting on God.

Prayer:  Dear Lord, Help me to be patient and to turn to Your Word for proper instruction on how to watch and wait as You move in my life.  In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

May God richly bless us as we continue seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

Have a GREAT Day!!!
