Profitable or Suitable?

Good Day Men!

2 Timothy 3: 16-17 All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.  (NASB)

My faith is in God and His Word I cherish.  I like the word profitable as it is used in today’s text.  It doesn’t say just suitable, it says profitable.  Thus our lives will profit from learning and applying God’s Word daily.  In short we will grow in Christ as we apply God’s Word to our lives on a consistent basis.  We should look at all areas in our lives and align ourselves with His purposes so that we may reflect to others that which is profitable as well.  We also should look at what God is doing to make our lives spiritually profitable and full of His rich wisdom and knowledge.  We should live a life of great expectation when we ask from God.  Don’t ask unless you expect to receive.

Take some time today and read God’s Word.  Psalms 34: 8 Taste and see that the Lord is good.

Prayer:  Dear Heavenly Father, Help me to see what You do as You fill my life to overflowing with Yourself.  Guide me into the depths of Your rich wisdom and holy grace as I seek Your guidance through Your Word.   In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

Have a GREAT Day!!!

In Christ,
