Truly God is Good….

Psalms 73: 1  Truly God is good to Israel, to such as are pure in heart.  (NKJV)

We know that the Israelites wandered from God on many occasions, and we also see the blessings that they could have had if they had only remained true to God.

God is good to us, until we wander or willingly move away from Him.  These wanderings can be cause for some severe repercussions.  How often have you sensed God calling you back from the temptation of sin in your life?  And how often have you ignored that persuasive beckoning of His Holy Spirit and commit the sin anyway?  That’s what His beloved nation did on many occasions.  They would not listen. 

Knowing God on the level He requires calls us to a life of study to better understand His purposes in your life.  Sure it takes time.  He did create time didn’t He?  As the old saying goes, “If Satan can’t get you, then he’ll get you busy.”  Once you accept Christ and His sacrifice on the Cross for your sins, Satan can no longer claim you, but he can needle you and throw you into harmful areas in your thoughts that can make your spiritual train jump the track. 

Stay the course.  Depend on God and God alone.  God’s woodshed is not a pleasant place.

Prayer:  Dear Father in Heaven, lead me in the way everlasting and help me to have the life that you intended for me.  Give me the diligence to withstand the temptations in my life that may draw me away from You.  Keep me steadfast on Your path for my life.  In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

May God richly bless us as we continue seek His will, and His way, through His Word.

  Promise Keepers 1993-2024-2 The attendance of that conference in Indianapolis Indiana at the Hosier Dome was a little over 70,000. Many conferences over the next several years averaged between 60,000 and 70,000. Several conferences were held throughout the year, mostly from early summer into mid-fall. Proverbs 4: 1   Hear O sons, the instruction of a father, And give attention that you may gain understanding, (NASB) As I look at this verse for the day I see the seriousness of our responsibilities as fathers to our children. Just as we are to look to our heavenly Father for His wisdom applied to our lives through His Word, our children look to us so that they too, in life, will  gain understanding .  How prepared are we as dads to reveal to our children the truths of life as revealed in the Bible. The first thing they see is our walk. We can say all we want, but unless our walk reflects what we say, our children will not take what we say seriously. At times they will test us and push us to the limit. We MUST stick to our convictions.
