Truthful Lips Endure Forever

Good Day Men!

Proverbs 12: 19 Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.  (NIV)

Have you ever told a little white lie?  For all practical purposes it was quite harmless, right?  WRONG!!!  Satan would love for us to believe this lie and accept it as truth.  He knows for a fact that a lying tongue will discredit us and damage our core character as believers.  We are to steer clear of any form of lying.  Men, our biggest problem here is pride.  We don’t like feeling inferior when it comes to competition.  It’s much easier to escalate the conversation and exaggerate the situation a little to bend the outcome in our favor.  It makes us look better when we win at golf, or catch the biggest fish.  Most men I have ever played golf with know that I go to have a good time.  Sometimes my game is on top, but most times it’s not.  But I never exaggerate the outcome and make it sound like something it really isn’t.  Let’s face the facts.  A half-truth is a whole lie.  It’s like multiplying any number by zero.  The answer is still zero.  The truth does endure forever.  A truthful man is trustworthy in all things and his character builds integrity in his daily walk in Christ.  This man will be sought out for his integrity and his character will draw other men of high integrity to him.

Christ never lied or exaggerated.  He was a man of truth.  He IS our example.

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will and His way, through His Word…..AMEN!

Have a Great Day!!
