Wisdom And Understanding

Good Day Men!

Job 28: 28 And he said to man, “The fear of the Lord - that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.”  (NIV)

We see hear in the verse for today that Job knows what wisdom is and completely differentiates evil from wisdom.  This seems simple when you read it but reading it and putting it into practice are two different things.  Job made a daily practice of living for God.  God was very evident in his life.  We have a description of Job in Job 1: 1, 8; 2: 3.  Ask any believer in Christ; it’s always easier to talk about the word of God than it is to apply its teachings to our daily lives.  Talk is cheap and action always speaks louder than words.  The closer we are to Christ the better life we will lead.  The closer we are to the Savior the better his message goes out through us.

Peace occurs when we apply the life principles of God’s word to our daily lives.  Sure there will be some hard times, but God is already there and preparing the way so that we may become more learning of Him.  God places opportunities before us daily so that we may learn more of him as we apply him to our lives.  We may not fully understand what God is doing in our lives but we should feel privileged that he chose our life to be evident in so that we can grow in the knowledge and wisdom in Christ.  Yes, shunning evil is understanding.  But willingly allowing evil into our life is foolishness.  Job was wise and accepted the fellowship of the Father in these trying times and God blessed him and rewarded him many times over for his patience in waiting on him.  In short, Satan lost his battle for Job.

Let God guide your path.  We don’t need to know the way we are going when God is leading the way.  We know we can trust in Him in all things, even His guidance.

May God richly bless us as we continue to seek His will and His way, through His Word…..AMEN!

Have a Great Day!!
