Christ’s Desire

Colossians 1:18 He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the first born from the dead; so that He Himself might come to have first place in everything. (NASB)

Through this verse we see Christ’s desire to become first place in everything. Not the few things in our lives that we offer to Him, but in EVERYTHING. Through all that Christ did for us on the Cross, alone, do we owe Him anything less than everything?
God owns it all, but He will not make us mere puppets in this world. The greatest gift we can give our most holy God is to give back to Him His greatest creation, ourselves. We do this by accepting the sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ on the Cross. Oftentimes after receiving Christ as our personal Savior, we sometimes begin to negotiate with God. The most common comment is “Oh, I didn’t realize that you wanted me to give up THAT part of my life too.” Let’s face it folks. He wants us to give our ALL to Him so that He may build us into His desires for our lives.
Key Thought: Commit your life to Christ and allow Him the privilege of turning you into a fully committed child of God.
The journey begins one knee at a time. God is calling….
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, guide me into a deeper relationship with You that I may commit my life in such a way that I reflect You and not me. Help me to put Your desires for me first. Thank You for Your love and patience with me as I give over to You the things that are wasteful in my life. In Jesus’ Name I Pray! AMEN!!!
Have a Great Day!!!
In Christ,
